FUTURE FOOD MOVEMENT

THE FUTURE FOOD MOVEMENT IS ON A MISSION TO ACCELERATE CLIMATE ACTION BY FACILITATING A CULTURAL SHIFT THROUGH INSPIRATION, UPSKILLING AND COLLABORATION THAT MOVES THE FOOD INDUSTRY FROM OBSERVATION TO MEANINGFUL PARTICIPATION

The Future Food Movement is on a mission to close the climate skills gap in the food industry by upskilling today’s business leaders and inspiring tomorrow’s rising stars to step up on climate change.

We are constantly evolving alongside the food industry. What started out as a platform to upskill, has now expanded across multiple pillars - all delivered by genuine changemakers – our allies, coaches and inspiring trailblazers, generating a new passion in businesses to empower the change needed to accelerate a faster Net Zero transition.

YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT
YOU DON’T KNOW

The biggest obstacle to climate action is the skills gap.  This is most glaring at a C-suite level with 75% of food industry leaders saying they don’t feel confident articulating their own net zero strategies.

We started the Future Food Movement in 2022 with a mission to educate, inspire and unite the industry behind meaningful action.

One of our internal promises is to ‘never be boring’ and that commitment has helped shape everything we’ve done; from the immersive experiences, panel discussions, live teaching, expansive curriculum, agenda-free networking and open debate on the big, sometimes controversial, issues that we need to tackle as an industry.

  • What I love about working with Veris is their commitment to driving positive change within the food industry as a whole - from field to fork. The approach they take is fresh, relevant, and intuitive. I love how the Company makes bold moves to continually drive the industry to enable each actor, no matter where you are in the chain,  to see that all  roles are Climate roles - that we are all responsible for the change. It's not simply enough to sit back and watch others do it, instead Veris holds your hand and guides you through it.

  • The Food Sector is the most important in the global economy, it sustains our lives. Yet it is also amongst the most polluting (33% of all greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions); wasteful (up to 40% of calories produced don’t reach a human mouth, yet 800m people go to bed hungry every night); and vulnerable to the climate crisis (heat, drought and flooding impacting yields, availability, quality and prices). It needs to change radically in the next decade, in the face of many short term headwinds, and this will only be done if the people who run the industry, from field to fork, do things much more sustainably, not alone, but collectively. This is why I am apart of Future. Food Movement.
